Bernard Salt has been a columnist with The Australian for a decade and a half.

Bernard writes two weekly columns in The Australian both published on a Saturday:

  • The Inquirer, Salt on the Census, analysis of Australian social  trends (includes graphics)

  • The Weekend Australian Magazine, social observation of trends, tribes and behaviours

He started writing columns in Thursday’s Primespace in the business section and has previously written columns for Australian Property Investor, The Deal magazine, Wish Magazine, the Melbourne Herald Sun op-ed page, Property Australia and Adelaide’s Sunday Mail.

Bernard also hosts a 30-minute interview and panel television show on SkyNews Business (Ch. 602) broadcast every Wednesday from 7.30 pm called The Next Five Years.

Bernard is active on social media posting columns, selected speaking engagements and other matters of interest on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram.  His collective following is 80,000.

Bernard has appeared on a range of television programs including 60 Minutes, The Project, SBS Insight, 7.30, Lateline, Four Corners, Sky News, television news segment generally and other popular programs such as Sunrise, the Today Show, Today Tonight and A Current Affair.
